Haytham: Head Mounted Gaze Tracker

Haytham: Head Mounted Gaze Tracker

Haytham is a head-mounted gaze-tracking software developed by Dr. Diako Mardanbegi for Windows (written in C#).

At the start of my PhD, I developed this cross-platform version with two main goals:

  1. To understand how eye-tracking software works.
  2. To enable eye tracking on Linux.

Through this project, I gained experience in encapsulation, image processing, and classic computer vision. It also sparked new research ideas along the way. While the project itself wasn’t widely used, it was one of my first larger independent development efforts.
