Camera Mouse Suite cross platform
Camera Mouse Suite is a Windows software developed and maintained by Prof. Margrit Betke’s group at Boston University. It allows people with severe motion disabilities to interact with the computer using some body part movement. For instance, many people use it to control the mouse pointer with their head movements. The software was originally created by Prof. James Gips (Boston College) and Prof. Margrit Betke (then at Boston College, now at Boston University). I’ve developed this cross-platform version in Qt to be able to run the software on macOS and Linux, since some people were asking for a macOS version and I also wanted to do some experiments on my Mac.
The only actual result from this effort was HMAGIC, a combination of Camera Mouse with eye tracking, that allows the user to move the mouse pointer to a coarse location and then fine tune it with head movements.
