Camera Mouse Suite cross platform

Camera Mouse Suite is a Windows-based software developed and maintained by Prof. Margrit Betke’s group at Boston University. It enables individuals with severe motor disabilities to interact with a computer using movements from a body part, such as controlling the mouse pointer with head movements. The software was originally created by Prof. James Gips (Boston College) and Prof. Margrit Betke (formerly at Boston College, now at Boston University).

I developed a cross-platform version of the software using Qt to make it compatible with macOS and Linux, in response to user requests for a macOS version. Additionally, I wanted to conduct some experiments on my Mac.

The primary outcome of this effort was HMAGIC , an extension that combines Camera Mouse with eye tracking. This allows users to move the mouse pointer to a coarse location and then fine-tune it using head movements.
