Active Handout is a framework for interactive course development built with MkDocs and Material for MkDocs . My colleagues, Prof. Igor Montagner and Prof. Rafael Corsi, and I developed it to create interactive handouts for our courses at Insper.

Since then, other instructors have also adopted it to develop their own course materials.
